Updated: Oct 24, 2024

Have you ever thought, “This relationship is too broken to be restored…”? -Angela M.

In the midst of your hard season are you taken aback by the difficult road ahead?  If so, hear Angela’s encouragement that “...to walk in freedom, we must be willing to do the hard things required. Not to be shamed by our past, but to redeem our past.”  She gently invites us to take responsibility, offering grace to ourselves and others, speaking the truth that, “Brokenness led me into my mess, but God's loving path to wholeness led me out.”

Reflection Questions

What can you relate to?

As you consider your own life, which part of Angela’s story seems to reach out for your hand and remind you that you’re not alone?

Consider the phrases, “Have you ever felt a circumstance in your life is too broken to be healing” or “I can't go on in my own strength."

What promises can you anchor to?

What is one truth or hope that you can grab ahold of from Angela’s story and take back into your own life as you seek hope and healing this week? Consider the promise of  “God's presence as a place of absolute peace, rescue, and strength” or God's calls to face your mistakes “Not to be shamed by our past but to redeem our past."

Prayer

Almighty Father, I know you see this beautiful woman. You know the depths of her pain and the fear she is facing. I ask that you would tangibly show her your love. I pray she would have the courage to surrender every piece to you. Give her courage to face her portion and in your love restore her dignity. I ask that you would redeem even the most broken pieces of her marriage in the ways only You can do. Thank you for loving her deeply and holding her heart so tenderly. Thank you for imparting in her powerful hope. In the redeeming name of Jesus, Amen!

Whenever our hearts make us feel guilty and remind us of our failures, we know that God is much greater and more merciful than our conscience, and he knows everything there is to know about us. My delightfully loved friends, when our hearts don’t condemn us, we have a bold freedom to speak face-to-face with God.

1 John 3:20‭-‬21 TPT

For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives.”

John 8:32 TPT
